Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She has written fifteen books, and she is co-founder the magazine The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is an author, philanthropist, television host, and owner of The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was in Greece and moved to England when she was 16. In Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA in Economics. The famous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first president and she took it before the age of 21. As a conservative syndicated blogger when she graduated, she became the voice of Huffington Post. The fame of her name helped by attracting a variety of high-profile contributors to publish their thoughts on news, politics, and other topics. Arianna was famous when she made the decision in 2003 to become an Independent Candidate for the California Recall election to succeed the former governor Davis. In addition, she directed an Detroit initiative to encourage fuel efficient cars. Her name was voted as the most influential women in media in 2009 by Forbes in 2009 and was awarded the 12th place in this list. The same year, the Guardian included her in the Top 100 Media List. In the year 2011, AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post and made her president of that media unit, which comprised of many then-existing AOL properties, including Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. Elli is the daughter of Konstantinos Stasinopoulos and Elli, who are both journalists and consultants in management. The way she lived her life was determined by the closeness she had to her mother as well as her relationship with her father despite her being very close to her father. She showed leadership traits throughout her childhood. In her 16th year, she returned to the UK to pursue her studies and was enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. When she was in college she was a member of the Cambridge Union's debate societies in the college and eventually was its first foreign and female president. In 1972 she received an education in Economics. Following her graduation, she was employed as a columnist critic, and as a host on television. She was on the show with Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she started writing her own books with his assistance.
