Kari Samantha, born in 1967 is an American actor, performer and singer (born on April 28 1967). She began her professional career as a teenager and is best recognized for her role as Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders and as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), a payroll accountant, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, who was a police officer as well as a car salesman. She has 3 siblings. In her teens, she sang in nightclubs in the night, as well as sneaking out of her house to sing. Following her studies in acting at the Wooster School from the age of 13, she studied drama in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts located at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Additionally, she studied in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the famed Uta Hagen. Her birthplace was in Brookfield on April 28th, 1967. Her German-American father is a dealer in cars and a police official. Kari has 3 siblings. When she was in her teens, she performed in nightclubs in secret, escaping to take a break. Kari was studying acting by the time she was 13. Her next stage of study was drama at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and Columbia University. Marymount Manhattan College, as well as at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, along with Uta Hagen who was a famous teacher. Kari began acting when she was an teen, and her first television break was in 1987 MTV's Remote Control.
