Allison Chinchar, a CNN and HLN meteorologist with CNN and HLN. She is frequently featured on CNN's 'New Day Weekend' and HLN's 'Weekend Express', as well being a regular guest on CNN International programs. She worked as an in-house meteorologist at local stations for three years in Atlanta, Nashville and Chattanooga before becoming a part of CNN. She's covered everything from hurricanes, blizzards storms, flooding, and wildfires. In fact, she received the Emmy nomination for her reporting of Hurricane Dorian which struck the Bahamas in the year 2019. Then she has covered in the Super Tornado Outbreak of April 2011. More than 350 tornadoes struck on the Southeastern United States in just four days. Over 200 of those on April 27th alone. She's covered climate change, but also earthquakes and volcanoes due to her experience in environmental science. Chinchar is a graduate of the Bachelors of Science from the Department of Atmospheric Science. She graduated from The Ohio State University. She is a member of several organizations, including that of American Meteorological Society and Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society.
